This role provides tactical and operational HR advice and support within assigned client area across the full range of HR activities, ensuring adherence to the Company standards, policies and procedures and alignment to business objectives. Escalates more complex cases to the Senior People Manager or Head of People when relevant.
The role supports the Head of People in planning and implementing the People Plan within a line of business or sector:
- Resolve and manage generalist type queries (e.g: probationary reviews, policy advice, sickness absence, disciplinary, grievance, requiring business knowledge, face to face handling in line with BAE Systems Digital Intelligence guidelines and HR Practice
- Manage and advise on ER cases to ensure matters are handled appropriately avoiding employment tribunals and ensuring a healthy work environment
- Provide operational advice on a range of employment and performance issues on business change based on business needs
- Channels information to and from People Services and provides guidance to the business on how and where to access appropriate support
- Analyse business related people data to identify potential implications within the business context and environment and works with Managers to resolve these as appropriate
- Enable people manager capability uplift, facilitating/supporting/coaching the manager in execution of people initiatives where necessary
- Support and contribute to HR projects
- Encourage employees and managers to use correct service channels
- Support Head of People in running a seamless performance review and reward cycle and promotions
Location Guildford - This is a hybrid role which will require the ideal candidates to come to the office a few times per month in line with business requirments
