Job description

  • 6 month fixed term contract
  • Earn up to £25,000 (pro-rata)
  • Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire

Here at PGL Beyond, we know that people are people, not ‘resources’.
So we said goodbye to ‘Human Resources’, and introduced ‘People & Culture’, which better reflects our two key priorities; looking after our people, and developing an amazing culture... which go hand-in-hand like kids and ziplines! Our People & Culture team put a modern spin to traditional HR, and are the driving force behind making PGL an incredible place to work, have fun & develop an enriching career.

THE ROLE

We have an exciting six-month opportunity for a talented administrator to join the People & Culture team on a fixed-term basis at our support centre in beautiful Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire.

Reporting to the People Administrator, you’ll be providing vital support and managing a diverse array of administrative processes to support the colleague journey, all the way from onboarding process to exit management. Other responsibilities include:

  • Providing amazing customer service to our colleagues
  • Supporting payroll administration
  • Maintaining accurate colleague records
  • Supporting the People & Culture team and wider PGL Beyond business

IS THIS YOU?

For this role we are looking for individuals with strong organisational, interpersonal, and administrative skills, who are confident using Microsoft packages and able to manage a number of priorities and deadlines. We require previous administrative experience, ideally gained within HR but this is not essential.

THE PACKAGE

We are renowned for our personal development & investment in people, we are ready to support you in your career development, each step of the way! You’ll have all the training you need to be confident and successful in your role, be equipped with a personal development plan, and access to nationally recognised qualifications funded by PGL to give your career the very best start.

  • Happy holidays - time to recharge and enjoy time away from the workplace. You’ll also enjoy an extra day off on your birthday!
  • Investing in your future – with sector leading family friendly policies and a contributory pension
  • Good living, for less - access to big savings and exclusive perks that span a huge range of retailers and service providers. Plus PGL discounted holidays and 20% discount in all our on-site shops
  • Take care of mind, body and soul - your wellbeing is top priority, so we’ve created a WELLBEING HUB for all our colleagues alongside access to Employee Assistance Program, cycle to work scheme and health cash plans (Permanent only)
  • Smart saving, affordable borrowing – access to our financial wellbeing platform for financial support when you need it. This includes easy and affordable saving and borrowing directly from your salary, plus useful guides on how to effectively manage your money.
  • Doing good does you good - paid time-off to volunteer your time to worthwhile causes.

We pride ourselves on hiring the best people, and recognise the importance and benefits of a diverse and inclusive team. However, the protection and safeguarding of the children visiting our centres is our primary concern. So all colleagues are required to undergo an Enhanced criminal records check (known as a DBS), which we will pay for. You will be required to provide a 5 year address history and ID documentation (ie British or Irish passport or birth certificate). If you have a conviction related to violence, drugs or safeguarding this could affect your application. Not all criminal convictions will be a bar to working for us and we will consider the results on an individual basis. You can find more information on DBS checks on the gov.uk website.
