Oakleaf Partnership are working with a large retail business who are seeking a People Partner to join and support their North East & Cumbria region and partner with senior leaders. The role joins the business during a transformative journey and will drive strategic people initiatives, foster a high-performance culture, and contribute to positive business outcomes. The role offers an opportunity to make a tangible impact. Travel will be required across the North East & Cumbria three days a week.

What is the role?

As a People Partner, you will report into and work with the Head of People Partnering and partner with Senior leaders across your region to translate business strategy into people plans and act as a trusted advisor to support both functional and geographic plans. The role will lead, coach and engage leaders for a high-performance culture, and embed business change, ways of working and behaviours, whilst identifying, nurturing and building efficient talent capabilities. It will be essential to build and maintain meaningful relationships that drive the business forward.

Candidate profile/experience

The successful candidate will have proven experience as a People/HR Business Partner in a fast-paced, and complex, commercial organisation. You will have experience of creating and delivering people plans in collaboration with Centres of Excellence and leading on delivery across a multi-site region. You will have strong influencing skills and be skilled in enabling and delivering business change and transformation. CIPD Level 5 qualifications desirable but not essential.
