Pay Rate: £17.58 per hour PAYE
Hours per week: 35-37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours
Role Length: This opening assignment is for 4 months
City: Southwark, London
Hybrid working - 2 days in office - Wednesday is a must. Other days as and when suits the candidate.
Proven minute taking skills and experience are essential for this role.
The purpose of the role is to provide comprehensive administrative support to a team of People Relations Specialists. The role will be part of a centre of expertise where collaborative team working will be essential to ensure the business receives an efficient People Relations service. The role holder will be expected to promote and adopt a shift towards a more data-led approach to People Relations and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
Work directly with a team of People Relations Specialists providing them with a professional, timely and accurate administrative service which will assist them in managing the coordination of end-to-end People Relations casework in a centre of expertise dedicated to People Relations and wellbeing.
Set up formal and informal meetings (both remote and in person) relating to the full spectrum of People Relations issues including but not limited to grievance, discipline, capability, and sickness absence. Where necessary, arrange rooms and refreshments and collate and circulate accurate information bundles to meeting attendees.
Take accurate notes at formal and informal meetings, transcribing, completing, and distributing them to the relevant parties before the required deadline.
Meticulously record and document all People Relations casework documentation (both formal and informal) into the relevant areas of Peabody’s shared drives.
Draft correspondence related to People Relations casework, as requested by the People Relations Manager and/or Specialists.
Ensure that any contribution to People Relations activity takes account of Peabody’s wellbeing strategy.
Assist with the management of the People Relations and Wellbeing email inbox and respond to email queries, providing any related advice or escalating to the People Relations Manager and/or Specialists, as appropriate.
Fully participate in the review of People Relations casework, both in group settings and in individual reviews (including internal audits).
Handle requests for People Relations data by preparing management information, including, where necessary, the creation of reports from the prevailing HR Information system.
Assist with the administrative arrangements for the delivery of Peabody training packages in relation to the management of People Relations casework.
Attend and make an accurate note of actions from People Relations and Wellbeing team meetings, to be circulated to the team.

Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 2 years recent admin experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
Must have excellent note taking experience will be note taking during grievances, disciplinary hearings so attention to detail and speed are essential.
Previous experience in a busy administrative role, ideally in a HR team.
Excellent organisational and planning skills with strong attention to detail.
Excellent written skills, with the ability to write clearly and concisely.
An interest in People Relations matters and UK employment legislation.
Experience of using information systems.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
