People Services Advisor (Employee relations)
GBP24 per hour - immediate start - 6 months - Winchester based - INSIDE IR35
We are looking for a HR advisor that specialises in Employee Relations to support my client for a 6 month contract as the company moves through an organisational change programme.
You will:-
- Provide advice and guidance on employment-related matters including contractual issues, Employee relations and People related matters in accordance with organisation policies and procedures, legislation and best practice referring
- Provide guidance and advice on a range of employment issues including performance, conduct, grievance, misconduct, flexible working, probation and absence issues and to manage formal Employee relations processes
- Support Investigating Managers in disciplinary, grievance and misconduct investigations through advice on the conduct of the meeting and format.
- Drafting questions, reports and correspondence to support the process
- Sit on disciplinary and appeal panels/meetings and provide advice to the panel on appropriate level of sanction up to and including dismissal.
- Seeking the necessary support where appropriate.
- Support line managers with practical advice and guidance on how to manage formal ER issues, ensuring consistency of approach and compliance with legislation and in line with organisation policies, procedures and processes.
Requirements for the role:-
CIPD qualification or equivalent work experience
Also:
- Experience of operational, day-to-day HR activities with a current knowledge of ER principles and practice.
- Proven experience of dealing with and managing Employee relations cases with minimal direction for example disciplinary, grievances and performance management issues up to and including dismissal.
- Experience of delivering ER training sessions.
- Ability to advise and guide managers on a wide range of ER issues and the ability to explain HR issues and procedures to staff at all levels with confidence and articulately
- Ability to perform effectively to tight deadlines with good personal organisation and time management skills
- IT literate (Microsoft Office, Teams, Excel)
