Job description

The Royal Academy of Music is one of the world’s leading conservatoires. The Academy has one of the fullest and varied performance programmes of any conservatoire with events ranging from individual performance to full symphony orchestra, jazz, opera and musical theatre. The Concerts Department is at the heart of all programming and performance activity and the hire services for our spaces and student musicians.

The Academy seeks to appoint an Performance Venues Coordinator to support the Performance Venues Manager with effective scheduling for the Academy’s 7 main Performance Venues and rehearsal space, maximising usage and ensuring space is utilised efficiently and resources deployed appropriately. The post holder will also assist the Director of Artistic Planning with the daily administration of the Academy’s commercial recording operation and other aspects of performance programming as required.

The successful candidate will join a highly creative team in a dynamic working environment. The role engages with a broad range of colleagues and student performers in the early stages of their careers.

The successful candidate will have excellent organisational capabilities and advanced attention to detail. You will have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to manage with conflicting priorities effectively. Previous scheduling skills and experience of working in arts administration environment, (ideally within a higher education setting), are essential.
