Dr Ben Spencer MP is looking for a Personal Assistant to join his small but busy team in Runnymede and Weybridge. The successful applicant will be a hard working and enthusiastic individual who has excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Experience of diary management is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Management of the MP’s parliamentary diary
- Organise and attend Westminster meetings and follow up as appropriate
- Assist with arrangements for events – this may include venue research and bookings; compiling and managing guest-lists; liaising with third parties; and providing on-the-day event support as required.
- Deal with initial queries from members of the public by email and phone
- Administrative support for the MPs parliamentary duties, including inbox management, filing, photocopying, processing invoices and clear record keeping, in line with IPSA and data protection rules.
- Additional duties to support the wider team as required
- There may be a requirement for the role holder to occasionally work outside of the normal working hours and travel for work
Requirements:
- Exceptional organisational and administrative skills, and experience managing a busy diary
- The ability to manage and prioritise a demanding workload independently and meeting tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Positive and proactive approach to work, and ability to work collectively as part of a team
- Experience of processing invoices and data management desirable.

Salary: £26,251 - £31,000 (pro rata)
This position is offered on a part time basis, minimum 3 days per week (Monday-Wednesday), located in Dr Ben Spencer's constituency of Runnymede and Weybridge.
Potential for flexible and hybrid working as part of this role.

Dr Ben Spencer will be conducting interviews on a rolling basis with a possible start date in June 2024, subject to security clearance. We reserve the right to appoint a candidate before the closing date.
