Job Description
We Are St Helens Borough Council
Located in the heart of the Northwest close to Liverpool, Manchester and Lancashire, St Helens is a transformational Council which is passionate and ambitious for the communities we support. We provide a wide range of local authority services to the residents, businesses, schools, and visitors to the borough. We can only do this because of our highly valued, highly skilled workforce.
Working together, our workplace vision and values guide our organisation, and the contribution of our workforce is key to our culture journey. Employees with us receive a wide range of benefits including well-being in work, financial benefits, ways of working and learning and development support.
Making A Difference as A Personal Assistant to Director
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced candidate, to join the Executive Support Management Team, in the role of Personal Assistant.
The post holder will support the Director of Legal and Governance, the Director of Finance and Assistant Director Finance by providing a confidential, high quality, professional, support service using innovative and modern practices with a strong digital focus.
You will support a number of strategic meetings, taking minutes and monitoring outstanding actions. You will also be responsible for extensive email and diary management and managing sensitive information.
This post is an opportunity for a self-motivated individual who possesses excellent organisation, communication and personable skills, with the ability to balance and prioritise a busy workload. You must have highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with Councillors, Senior Council Colleagues and representatives from external partners and organisations
The posts require someone with excellent IT skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft packages and excellent written and verbal communications skills
The successful candidate will complement the work of the wider Executive Support Management Team, who support the Wider Leadership Team and Leader of the Council. This encompasses both dedicated and shared resources, with a tiered approach and supports the overarching work of the Directorate, by exercising a high degree of initiative and alleviates pressure points across the Directorates
This is a full-time post and the successful candidate will be required to work 37 hours per week. This is a hybrid role and therefore provides the opportunity to work both from home and from an office base.
Working together, our workplace vision and values guide our organisation, and the contribution of our workforce is key to our culture journey. Employees with us receive a wide range of benefits including a generous annual leave and bank holiday entitlement, financial benefits, hybrid ways of working, learning and development support and access the Local Government Pension Scheme
If you are a dedicated, adaptable, and highly organised individual seeking a challenging and fulfilling opportunity, we would welcome your application.
