The Campaign and Alumni Relations Office (CARO) works to build mutually beneficial relationships with a global community of over 320,000 alumni and friends, in almost 200 countries. We offer opportunities for alumni, friends and supporters to stay in touch with the university and encourage them to volunteer their time and give donations to support students from a wide range of backgrounds and to contribute to research that changes the world.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Personal Assistant who can provide comprehensive and confidential administrative support, including diary management, to the Director of Advancement, the Deputy Director of CARO and the Director of Operations. We value the varied perspectives and experiences that a diverse team can bring - the University of Nottingham has a diverse student and alumni community, and we aspire to reflect that within the CARO team. We know that having colleagues from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds, with a mix of opinions and lived experiences, enhances our day-to-day work and enriches our team and we welcome applications from everyone.
We are looking for someone to join our team who will work proactively, using their own motivation and initiative to build strong relationships with colleagues throughout the university and deliver a high level of administration.
You will fulfil the role of Personal Assistant using your practical and theoretical knowledge of administration, recommending effective operational processes to ensure our team achieves its objectives of increasing levels of advocacy, volunteering and philanthropic funding.
You will have previous experience in an administrative role, have good communication skills, strong organisational and problem-solving skills and demonstrable experience of Microsoft 365 apps, including SharePoint and Teams. As someone who can quickly build strong collaborative relationships, you will be a key member of our team.
This is a permanent, full-time (36.25 hours per week) post, blending time working on our Nottingham campuses with home working. Agile working at the University of Nottingham enables colleagues to access a number of shared workspaces across our award-winning campuses to help them perform their roles effectively. Colleagues are empowered to work flexibly, deciding how, when and where is best to deliver their outputs. Currently the team comes together for an anchor day on a Tuesday.
Job share arrangements may be considered.
We are committed to competitive employment packages whilst supporting staff well-being. As a University of Nottingham employee, you will have access to a range of benefits and rewards, including fitness and health facilities and staff discount schemes, along with a generous holiday allowance and an attractive pension scheme.
