Qualifications:
- At least three years' experience in caregiving, specializing in Down syndrome support.
- Ideally holds UK Care Standards Certificates and relevant caregiving qualifications.
- Demonstrated proficiency in overseeing caregivers to ensure effective care provision.
- Expertise in designing and implementing personalized care plans, including dietary, medication, and medical coordination components.
- Possesses empathy, compassion, and insight into the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities.
- Strong communication skills necessary for interacting with individuals, healthcare professionals, and families.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized care for an adult with Down syndrome, dislocated hip, and partial blindness.
- Coordinate and supervise caregivers, ensuring consistent care delivery through scheduling, training, and supervision.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and execute comprehensive care plans.
- Create tailored nutritional meal plans and offer mealtime assistance based on individual requirements.
- Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate records of medical treatments.
- Coordinate medical appointments, therapies, and healthcare services, advocating for individual preferences and needs.
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor health, mobility, and overall well-being, adjusting care plans accordingly.
- Develop emergency plans and risk management strategies to uphold safety and well-being.
- Stay updated on caregiving best practices, regulations, and guidelines.
