Job description

The Role – Philanthropy Coordinator
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Philanthropy Team as Philanthropy Coordinator. The successful candidate will an experienced administrator, preferably with experience of charities and/or fundraising. The Philanthropy programme, raising funds to be disbursed through The R&A Foundation, was established in 2022. So far, over £6m has been raised to support programmes around the world which develop golf and through the game, improve lives and transform communities.

The philanthropy team is currently small but growing fast as we develop our donor base. An experienced administrator is sought who can manage the processes that ensure that all donations are accurately administered and donors well-stewarded, within all internal and external legal and governance frameworks.

This is a full time position working 35 hours per week.

Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have the following experience and attributes:

  • HND qualification in related discipline, or equivalent relevant working experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of fundraising best practice, charity law and tax-efficient giving across key fundraising markets.
  • Experience of CRM system management.
  • Administrative experience of finance systems and reporting functions.
  • Experience within a mature fundraising operation, including donor interaction, communication planning and event management.
  • Understanding of the need for due diligence and exceptional donor care.
