SalaryAcademics are currently looking for passionate Physical Education (PE) Teachers to work in their secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent & Newcastle-under-Lyme. Working as a supply teacher is an ideal way to explore a variety of different schools before applying for a long term or permanent post and additionally supply is an excellent way to boost your classroom experience for your CV.
Supply opportunities can also be great for recently qualified teachers (ECT & NQTs) as they could potentially lead to more long-term and permanent roles in some of our schools.
Physical Education Teachers who apply for this role must:
- Hold the relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, B. Ed or BA Hons) with Qualified Teaching Status (QTS/QTLS).
- Have strong classroom management and you can easily build good rapport with students.
- Deliver exciting and engaging PE lessons using your own initiative and have good knowledge of the national curriculum.
- Have evidence through referencing of working with students in both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service, or to be prepared to apply for a new Enhanced DBS through ourselves (cost applied).
Please be aware for this particular role you will be paid according to your teacher pay grade.
