The role
As a Pipe Shop Production Lead, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll oversee the repair, overhaul and new manufacturing of pipework for our submarine, surface ships and commercial customers.
Day-to-day, you'll be leading a team of line managers to drive efficient and effective delivery of pipework for a wide range of projects.
- To manage the various repair processes in accordance with contract requirements, completion of quality documentation, with a focus on product safety.
- Liaise with customers and project groups at progress meetings.
- Review existing task specific risk assessments and raise new assessments to meet the needs of production.
- Plan, manage and adjust workloads to meet operational requirements while setting the team clear targets.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential experience of the Pipe Shop Production Lead
- Extensive knowledge of high pressure and safety critical system pipework manufacture and quality.
- Understanding of production management principles used in the manufacture of pipework.
- Previous lean manufacturing experience.
- Previous experience leading others.
Qualifications for the Pipe Shop Production Lead
- ONC or equivalent in engineering discipline or demonstrated relevant experience in the manufacture of pipework.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
