The role
As a Production Planning Lead, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This role has the opportunity to work on highly complex and interesting projects, you will gain a wide exposure to submarine business, liaising with various teams across multiple projects.

Day to day, you'll be using your experience of submarine maintenance, or build projects to assist in the development of project management output, e.g. project plans, metrics, task procedures.

• Supporting the development of the project schedule through close cooperation with the project team.
• Technical assessment for mechanical based tasks included in the projects scope.
• Identification of key risks, issues, materials, and equipment required for mechanical based tasks.
• Utilising experience from previous projects and submarine enterprise to improve project planning and delivery.
• Undertaking visits to submarine platforms to assess mechanical based tasks.

This role is full time, 36 hours based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard with hybrid working from home arrangements.

Essential experience of the Production Planning Lead

• Experience in submarine maintenance, build or repair.
• Experience of mechanical systems, maintenance, build or repair.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with key stakeholders.
• Experience in the planning of engineering projects - Desirable.

Qualifications for the Production Planning Lead

• HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
