Place Officer - Sport & Physical Activity - Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
Salary: £36,562 to £38,459 per annum (Inclusive of London Fringe Weighting allowance)
This is a key role within the Communities and Leisure team as we enter an exciting period for the Council.
The officer will need to work on a systems approach to promoting health and wellbeing alongside tackling levels of inactivity across the borough, with partners such as Everyone Active, Herts Public Health, Integrated Care System, Herts Sport and Physical Activity Partnership, APEX 360, local Sports Clubs and Social Prescribers.
A key responsibility will be to help to develop and implement a new Sports and Leisure Strategy for the Council in 2024. The ability to actively promote, manage and review the performance of the different outreach and activity programmes is vital to ensure excellent and accessible services are delivered to our residents and customers.
We are looking for somebody who excels in partnership working, developing positive relationships quickly and effectively, but at the same time is also able to manage contracts in an efficient and effective manner.
This role will help ensure our communities gain the maximum benefits that these activity programmes and leisure facilities can provide. It would suit someone who is a team player and passionately believes in the power of leisure, Physical Activity, and wellbeing to make real positive changes and to tackle inequalities within our communities.
Applicants must have a driving licence that is valid in the UK and use of a vehicle.
