Planning and Highways Lawyer

Rate: £50 - 55 per hour (Interim/Umbrella)

About the Planning and Highways Lawyer Role:
Sellick Partnership are looking for a senior lawyer to work within the planning team of a reputable local authority for 15-20 hour per week; flexible working. We are looking for someone specifically to support the county planning authority with a TCPA highways application.
The post is around 15-20 hours per week. Assignment is most likely around 6 months in duration, initially covering maternity leave, but there is the strong possibility that this will be extended.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Highways Lawyer to join a supportive team on a remote working basis around other consultancy work they have ongoing.
Key Responsibilities of the Planning and Highways Lawyer role:
Key duties of the Highways Lawyer will include;
- Manage your own caseload of the more complex and high profile Planning and highway matters
- Support the county planning authority with a TCPA highways application
- To continue to build relationships with existing clients
- It is expected that the role would also carry a small caseload of general planning matters - s106s, s278s and general planning advice
