Key Responsibilities:
- Investigating complaints related to planning breaches and taking appropriate enforcement action
- Conducting site visits to assess compliance with planning permissions
- Preparing detailed reports and evidence to support enforcement actions
- Liaising with residents, developers, and other stakeholders to resolve enforcement issues
- Attending and presenting cases at committee meetings and public inquiries
- Providing guidance and advice on Planning Enforcement matters
- Ensuring adherence to relevant legislation and policies in all enforcement activities
- Maintaining accurate records of enforcement actions and outcomes
Job Requirements:
- Experience in town planning and enforcement
- Strong understanding of planning legislation and enforcement procedures
- Excellent investigative and analytical skills
- Proficient in report writing and presenting evidence
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload
- Relevant qualification in town planning or a related field
