Job Title: Principal Planning Policy Officer
Contract Duration: 3-6 Months
Start date: ASAP
Location: Oxfordshire
Working arrangements: Hybrid, 1-2 days per week in the office
Rate: £50-70 per hour, depending on experience
Role Description: My LPA client are seeking an interim Team Leader for their Planning Policy team for a period of 3-6 months. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of their Local Plan, with a focus on reg 19 work, whilst managing a team of six.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor, manage and coordinate a team of six in the Planning Policy Team Contribute to the development and implementation of local authority planning policies, with a focus on reg 19 work Support senior management in the coordination and delivery objectives Represent the council during examination
Requirements:
- Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) Extensive experience in local authority Planning Policy setting Strong analytical and research skills Good communication and presentation skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
