Position Available: Planning Validation Officer

We are currently seeking a meticulous individual to serve as a Planning Validation Officer on a temporary basis. This role involves providing crucial administrative and technical support for various projects.

Duration: 3 months
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week

Job Purpose: As a Planning Validation Officer, you will be responsible for processing and registering planning applications while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines. Your role will involve offering detailed technical advice to applicants and managing various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide frontline service via phone, email, and online channels, offering technical advice.
* Assess and register planning applications, ensuring adherence to statutory regulations.
* Determine the necessity of planning permission as per relevant legislation.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for applicants and agents, providing technical support throughout the validation process.
* Manage planning appeals and inquiries, including venue coordination and compliance with safety standards.
* Address reports related to dangerous structures and planning enforcement matters.
* Meet performance indicators and contribute to data reporting.

Essential Experience:
* NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent.
* Previous experience in Planning and Validation or similar roles.
* Experience in a relevant environment is advantageous.
