We currently have an exciting role for a Plant Fitter to join our clients well established team in Halstead, Essex!

Salary is £15 - £19/hour

Responsibilities:

• Conducting regular maintenance and repair work on plant machinery and equipment

• Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues and faults

• Ordering and replacing faulty plant components and parts

• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations in the workplace

• Keeping accurate records of maintenance and repair work done on plant machinery and equipment

• Training and mentoring junior fitters and apprentices

• Liaising with other plant operators and managers to ensure efficient plant operations

• Attending to emergency breakdowns and repairs when necessary

Requirements:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge of plant machinery

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

• Experience in diagnosing and repairing faults on a range of machinery

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team

• Ability to adhere to health and safety guidelines
