As a Plant Manager you’ll play a key role leading our operational management teams, overseeing all aspects of site operations, and embedding key process improvements. Alongside driving performance throughout the team, you will also be focussed on delivering our crucial customer commitments.


What does the role involve?

Reporting into the Regional Operations Director for the South East, and deputising them when required, this key operational role is responsible for ensuring our regions Plants run smoothly, delivering the processing plan in a safe, customer focussed and commercially driven manner. This fast-paced role will give you the chance to have real impact throughout the business by driving and implementing national change initiatives, developing the business plan, and working to achieve all unit and personal KPI’s.


We’re in an exciting period of transformation and our Plant Managers are right at the centre of it. You’ll be providing leadership that creates enthusiasm and inspires people across all levels of the business to act and embrace positive change and build a culture of high performance and climate for success. We will also soon be implementing Plant realignment across the region to bring about increased efficiency and continued delivery of our high-quality service for our customers.


This role has responsibility for 3 plants; direct responsibility of Medway Plant and oversight of Croydon and Gatwick Plant, with management responsibility of 2 Plant Managers, an Optimised Production Leader, 4 Shift Managers, and oversight of all staff involved in our 24/7 operation, equivalent to a £17m staffing budget. You will also be an integral part of our South East Senior Leadership Team.

Shift patterns: Flexibility across all shifts, plant locations, and operational hours is a must.
