As a Plant Supervisor, you will lead and oversee two teams during shifts, ensuring the highest standards in health, safety, product quality, plant efficiency, and employee communication. Your responsibilities include motivating teams, managing performance, and effectively communicating challenges to senior management while maximizing development opportunities for the team.
Principal Accountabilities of this Plant Supervisor role:
- Manage day-to-day operations ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations and company objectives.
- Cultivate a safety-conscious culture, conduct risk assessments, and provide essential health and safety training.
- Optimize plant processes to meet production targets and elevate product quality.
- Set operational KPIs, manage performance, and focus on continuous improvements.
- Collaborate on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for optimal performance.
- Deliver on-the-job training, maintain training matrices, and conduct site-specific inductions.
- Ensure high operational availability and collaborate for effective repairs and improvements.
- Coordinate with external contractors for maintenance, overseeing completion and documentation.
Nature and Scope of this Plant Supervisor role:
Your role involves managing the operational plant, ensuring safety, and nurturing a committed team with effective communication. Identifying performance gaps and forwarding external training needs to the Plant Manager is key.
