Monday to Friday (7am -4pm).

A quick look at the role.

Assuming full responsibility for all facets of the operation during their shift, the Plant Supervisor oversees two teams to attain high standards in health and safety, product quality, plant efficiency, and employee communication.

• In charge of the day-to-day operations of the production plant.
• Ensuring strict compliance with Health and Safety regulations and other legislative requirements aligned with the company's objectives.
• Management of plant processes is a crucial aspect, requiring the optimization of resources, including personnel and machinery, to consistently achieve agreed production targets in terms of output and quality.
• Establishing operational KPIs for the team is part of the role, with a focus on effective communication, feedback response, performance management, and employee development.
• Collaboration with fellow supervisors and chargehands is necessary to design, implement, and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for uniform optimum performance, including Overall Equipment Efficiency.
•  Conducting site-specific inductions, delivering on-the-job training, and maintaining the shift training matrix.
• Liaising with external contractors for specific repairs and maintenance work, overseeing the proper completion and filing of all related paperwork.

Requirements

Here’s what we require:

• Knowledge of Health & Safety in an industrial / processing environment.
• Supervisory or management experience is essential.
• Maintaining employee safety and morale by creating a safe working environment.
• Great communication skills – briefing, leading and listening.

Desirable:

• Qualification in Operations or Leadership Management, or manufacturing processes
• Management level Health & Safety qualification
• Management of 24/7 operations
• Familiar with waste processing plants
