Opportunity to join a hugely successful tech company that specialise in eCommerce platform solutions, working on a Greenfield 3D modelling software that is set to revolutionise online shopping.
As a Platform Engineer you'll work with a globally distributed team to help build out the platform infrastructure from scratch, to enable scalability and resilience. You'll collaborate with software developers to provide subject matter expertise on DevOps, automation, deployment and AWS, contributing to technical discussions and decision making as well as building Developer Tooling.
There will be a mixture of BAU work such as monitoring as well as project based work, you'll help to transition away from any remaining monoliths to a modern microservices AWS cloud based infrastructure, in time becoming serverless.
There are many technical challenges, you'll collaborate to solve problems and drive improvements to the Developer Experience.
Location / WFH:
You can work remotely / work from home, from anywhere in the UK.
Requirements:
You have strong Platform Engineering experience
You have a strong knowledge of AWS
You can script / code with PHP and / or Golang
You have experience of building Developer tools, sharing knowledge and driving best practice
You experience with Docker for Containerisation
You have a good knowledge of IT infrastructure
You enjoy collaborating with others, sharing knowledge and driving best practice
