As a Platform Engineer / DevOps at one of the country's best known online property rental sites you will join a small team to ensure the reliability and performance of the core platform encompassing everything from how code is built and tested; how, when and where it is deployed; and how it is monitored in production environments.
There's a variety of work to get involved with. You could be partnering on internal operations projects such as introducing new technologies to the stack or carrying out improvements or maintenance to the existing infrastructure; working with development teams on various tasks to enable continuous delivery such as building microservices and developing tooling to automate tedious tasks. You'll be working with a modern tech stack with an emphasis on GCP and Terraform.
You'll be working in an upbeat supportive team environment with plenty of training and career development opportunities, many employees have been in the business for over ten years.
WFH Policy:
There's a hybrid work from home policy, you'll join colleagues in the London office twice a week with the other three days working remotely.
Requirements:
- You have a strong knowledge of GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and Terraform, having used both in production environments
- You have a strong knowledge of Linux, likely to be from a Sys Admin / Engineering background
- You have experience with Terraform for writing IaC
- You have experience of building containers with Docker and a good knowledge of operating orchestration solutions such as Kubernetes / GKE and / or ELK clusters
- You have experience of working in a digital / eCommerce / high volume website environment
- You're collaborative with great communication skills and enthusiasm for technology
