Playworker Apprenticeship Coach

We are excited to introduce a role of a Playworker Apprenticeship Coach for qualified or unqualified tutor across Cambridge, Reading, Stevenage and Oxford. Role Overview: As a Playworker Trainer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of playwork professionals. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality training and support to apprentices enrolled in our Playworker Apprenticeship programme.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct engaging playworker training sessions, workshops, and practical activities, ensuring alignment with apprenticeship standards and curriculum.
• Regularly assess apprentices' knowledge, skills, and competence, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their learning journey.
• Provide personalised support and mentoring to apprentices, addressing any learning needs or challenges they may encounter.
• Collaborate with curriculum development teams to enhance and update training materials, resources, and assessments to meet industry needs.
• Maintain high standards of quality assurance in training delivery and assessment processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor apprentices' progress and performance, tracking milestones, and facilitating their transition into the workforce upon completion.
• Foster positive relationships with apprentices, employers, and stakeholders, creating a supportive learning environment and promoting the value of playwork.
• Ensure timely completion of all administrative duties.
• Conduct workplace visits to complete reviews and observations, offering feedback to learners and employers to further support them through to EPA.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Recognised qualification in playwork at level 2 or related field (e.g., childcare, education, youth work).
• Previous experience in playwork or similar roles within the childcare or education sector.
• Teaching qualification such as AET, PTLLS, DTLLS, or equivalent (desired).
• Assessors award such as A1, CVA, TAQA, or equivalent (desired).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and motivating learners from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities, with a proactive problem-solving approach.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
• Experience in training delivery or teaching, with knowledge of apprenticeship delivery frameworks being advantageous.
