Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, with on call 1 week in 4
Salary: Up to £34,000 dependent on experience, with £150 standby fee and £35 callout fee
Here at VIVO we are looking for a Plumber to be based in Somerset.
This is a mobile role that will see you covering reactive maintenance within 30 miles from Taunton to Ilchester. You will be working to undertake a variety of plumbing services and other repairs, including building work, grounds work and drainage related leaks.
Within this role you will be responding to reactive maintenance that will be delivered through a personal work diary, that will be given in advance for you to plan your day.
Your main responsibility will be to Repair and maintain plumbing, replacing defective washers, replacing or mending boking pipes and opening clogged drains, toilets, gutters, rain water pipes and any other plumbing work.
Your other responsibilities include;
- Undertake patch plastering works, tiling, floor laying, decorating replacing of internal and external doors
- Install supports for pipes, equipment and fixtures prior to installation
- To undertake a continual programme of risk assessment in relation to the role
- To complete and finalise projects to a high standard and have the ability to self-snag works on completion
- Maintain van stocks and provide information enabling the improvements of Right first-time fixes.
- Ensure all H&S documentation (RAMS) are present prior to engaging the task
- Be flexible and willing to work shift patterns to cover the appointments
- Cover out of hours on a rota
What you’ll need to do this role
A Full UK Driving License.
Experience in domestic plumbing and any other trade
An NVQ Level 2 in qualification in a plumbing field.
Previous experience as a multi trade works.
Ability to use hand tools
It is desirable that you have experience of operating within an MOD environment and have familiarity with geography and establishments within area of responsibility.
You must be able to pass BPSS Clearance to be considered for this role.
