Education Support is looking for a dynamic and ambitious new Policy and Public Affairs Officer. We are the UK’s only charity focused on the mental health and wellbeing of the Education Sector. We believe that better mental health leads to better education.
With a General Election approaching, we are looking for someone who can help us to expand our networks and influence policy thinking, to make a real difference for staff in the education sector. We are looking for a Policy and Public Affairs professional who can quickly get to grips with our policy issues and stakeholder landscape, to support our influencing activity.
The role:
- You’ll be working on a range of interesting issues relating to education and mental health.
- You’ll need to be able to grasp and synthesise complex information.
- You’ll be helping us to grow our network of influence by owning and driving our stakeholder and parliamentary contact programme.
- Organisational skills and the ability to keep activity on track are a must.
- You’ll be responsible for monitoring the external environment and analysing the implications of any developments.
- You’ll work closely with the senior team that shapes the strategy of our Policy and Public Affairs activity.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills are vital, as the role will involve building and maintaining internal and external relationships.
