Job Title: Policy Manager (Health and Care)

Prospectus is delighted to be working with a leading health organisation; our client drives research for, and campaigns on behalf of thousands of people across the UK who live with this well-known health condition. They are currently recruiting for a Policy Manager for Health and Care to join the Policy and Evidence team. Helping the organisation secure improvements to vital services and support the people, their families, and carers, to live well.
Please note this is a permanent full-time position being offered on a flexible working basis.
The Policy Manager will collaborate with colleagues in the Research and External Affairs teams to craft influential strategies and execute activities targeting external stakeholders, including the Government and NHS, to achieve the charities policy objectives. As a key player, working closely with the Head of Policy and Evidence, Policy Manager (Financial Security), Evidence Lead, and Stakeholder Engagement Manager to ensure smooth operational delivery, quality control, and oversight of the policy development process.
The post-holder will also line manage two Senior Policy Officers, you'll provide guidance, oversight, and support for their development and that of the wider team. You will be a vital part of the Research and External Affairs management team, contributing to leadership, planning, reporting, and policy formulation.
To be considered for this role you will have proven experience of developing policy and influencing strategies and activities aimed at influencing policy makers on a UK, national or local level. Additionally, the right candidate will be able to demonstrate proficiency in developing policy reports in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, along with a solid background in working with clinicians, NHS England, and other NHS bodies, especially in the implementation of new policies or practices. In addition to this you will have experience of leading teams to deliver high quality results to deadlines, including developing and implementing team workplans. With proven planning and project management experience to control effective use of capacity and resources.
