What we do:

Everyone has an idea of what a water company does. Here in Yorkshire, we make sure that over 5.4 million people living in the region and the millions of people who visit our region each year, can rely on our services, and have clean and safe drinking water on tap and that their wastewater is taken away. But for us, it's so much more than this.

We look after communities, protect the environment, and plan to look after Yorkshire's water, today, tomorrow 24/7, 365 days a year. We provide essential water and wastewater services to every corner of the Yorkshire region, and play a key role in the region's health, wellbeing, and prosperity.

New environmental legislation, unprecedented levels of investment and changing expectations from customers means that this is an exciting time to discover opportunities within the water industry.

Here at Yorkshire Water, we're passionate about the health of Yorkshire rivers and we're committed to playing our part in a cleaner, healthier environment for everyone to enjoy. We're looking for passionate people to join a new team focussed on preventing pollution from our assets, reducing storm overflows, and working with partners to improve the condition of Yorkshire rivers.

  • Support and promote proactive ways of working to reduce first-time and repeat pollution incidents and contribute to achieving performance commitments through quality of data and accuracy of reporting, ensuring timely in-year and year-end reporting of pollution incidents.
  • Manage your day-to-day duties to deliver excellent performance by setting clear expectations linked to business targets, having meaningful performance discussions that recognise and reward the right performance, behaviours and obstacles where performance and behaviours do not meet expectations.
  • Play your part in developing and implementing the company's pollution reduction strategy to ensure the delivery of both in-year and end of AMP UQ pollution targets.
  • Be a centre of excellence for the company's pollution processes, ensuring they are well communicated, understood and adhered to by the business, monitoring performance against them and continually looking for ways to improve.
