Position Overview:
As an Institutional Portfolio Manager, you will have the flexibility to support a range of domestic, international, and global equity investment strategies. Whilst this is a Portfolio Management position you will also incorporate Investment Specialist Responsibilities. The Portfolio Manager’s responsibilities include representing the investment team externally, engaging with clients, prospects, and intermediaries to communicate the investment philosophy, process, and performance of specific investment products. This role focuses on fostering partnerships with key distribution channels to support business growth and the retention of assets.
- Strong US Equities Knowledge
- Good strategic and commercial acumen
- Develop and execute business and territory management plans to grow and retain assets.
- Communicate investment philosophy, process, and performance of specific equity products to Retail and Institutional channels.
- Provide a Portfolio Manager perspective to internal business partners, including Sales and Marketing.
- Stay informed about market trends, the competitive landscape, and the positioning of investment team and strategies.
- Develop content for investment-related questions in RFPs or client queries.
- Contribute to investment commentaries, thought leadership, and other investment-related content.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required; CFA or advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of financial services experience; previous experience as a product/portfolio specialist desired.
- Knowledge of equity markets, modern portfolio theory, and performance attribution.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexible, resourceful, collaborative team player, and proactive.
