1. To undertake assessments and create effective support plans. 2. To undertake direct work with service users and their families/carers and/or Support Workers to implement the support plan and behaviour intervention methods. 3. To promote access to social, leisure and education opportunities to enrich service users quality of life. 4. To communicate effectively and sensitively with service users, parents, carers and professionals regardless of their spoken language or communication skills e.g visual supports. 5. To have an understanding of and be able to identify safeguarding concerns, undertake risk assessments, escalate and take appropriate action in line with the council’s policies and protocols.
