Ventus is working with a renewable energy engineering company to recruit a Power Electronics and Control Systems Engineer. You will be responsible for design and development of Power Electronics and Control Systems and implementation into the PLCs.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Power Electronics (converters, rectifiers, and inverters) and conduct analysis to increase efficiency of the power systems.
Design control algorithms ensuring and enabling stability, performance, and real- time monitoring of power electronic systems.
Optimise energy conversion and storage by integrating with other energy sources.
Improve and finalise design specifications based on prototyping and testing of Control Systems.
Liaise with other engineers, developers and project managers to integrate power systems into larger projects.
Responsible for all technical report and documentation and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Knowledge and Education:
Academic background in engineering, Power Electronics or other relevant discipline.
Prior experience in a similar role designing and developing Power Electronics.
Adept at data analysis and using MATLAB/Simulink.
Sound understanding of the renewable energy industry would be an advantage.
