PR & Social Media Executive - Bath/Bristol

A brilliant opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and motivated PR & Social Media Account Executive to join a small, award-winning agency working with top family and food brands.

Working in a close-knit team of 9 people, you will play a key supporting role in helping account teams create and deliver a range of PR, social and influencer campaigns, predominantly for toy companies, licensed kids’ characters and grocery food brands.

Responsibilities will include the following:

Planning:

• Help account teams keep PR, influencer and Social plans up to date
• Track awareness days and calendar hooks for social opportunities
• Monitor relevant Social Media trends and topics to exploit
• Track deadlines for features and awards and help organise or draft entries
• Research and build relationships with relevant influencers
• Build and maintain media and influencer lists and image libraries

Campaign Delivery:

• Draft sparkling social posts, press releases and blogs quickly and accurately
• Source or create visuals to support PR/social stories via Canva
• Schedule Social Media content using tools such as Hootsuite and Buffer
• Set up competitions and organise send outs of product samples and prizes
• Help produce client events, launches and photoshoots as required
• Manage clients’ Social Media communities on Instagram, Facebook & TikTok
• Upload approved blogs/releases to online newsrooms, websites
• Help manage simple PPC and Social Media ad campaigns
• Support teams with new business research as required

Reporting:

• Log media coverage and Social Media results daily
• Collate information for monthly and weekly WIP reports
• Help present activity and results to clients at regular status meetings/calls
• Be a secondary point of contact for clients on a day to day basis

Other:

• Some basic office admin support
• Ad hoc research to support client and new business work

The Person

We’re looking for an ambitious, confident and resilient individual, buzzing with ideas and initiative. You’ll be able to write punchy, entertaining posts, and produce eye-catching visual content, working quickly and effectively as part of a small team.

You’ll already have some experience of handling Social Media for brands, ideally with some influencer and PR experience or a keen desire to grow into an all-rounder. Great organisational and IT skills are essential for this busy, varied role. Being a smart thinker able to come up with solutions to challenges independently is valued.

The ability to work independently but with a strong team mindset is essential - we’re looking for someone who is flexible and always willing to take on a wide range of tasks, including some office admin. A strong eye for detail and good presentation skills are important.
