Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire

Salary: £35k - £40k (DOE) + Excellent Benefits

Full-Time, Permanent, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm, Hybrid considered

The Client:

Our client is a well-established accountancy firm, offering a wide range of accounting and tax services to clients across various sectors.

The Role:

As a Practice Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in preparing accounts for Ltd companies, sole traders, and partnerships.

Responsibilities:

- Finalising accounts and CT returns.
- Reviewing self-assessment tax returns to HMRC.
- Examining and submitting VAT returns.
- Ensure tax compliance for corporation, personal, and partnership entities.
- Utilise cloud accounting systems.
- Cultivating strong client relationships.
- Providing ongoing client support and addressing queries.
- Acting as a liaison between clients and HMRC.

Requirements:

- Previously worked as an Accountant or in a similar role.
- At least 3 years experience in UK general practice.
- Knowledge of payroll, auto-enrolment & CIS, money laundering regulations.
- Understanding of latest legislation.
- Must be a part qualified or fully qualified.
- Familiarity with Xero, Quickbooks, TaxCalc and Bright Manager would be preferred.
- Background in managing accounts and supervision would be beneficial.
