Practice Bookkeeper / Assistant Accountant

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Practice Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant looking to develop their skills within a small but busy working environment.

The Role: 

Initially to cover 9 months maternity leave with the potential to progress to a permanent role. Our client’s ideal candidate will be interested in helping the business to continue to develop, working under their own initiative and taking full responsibility of their client’s requirements. The role will be officed based in Brighouse.

You will be working with a wide range of clients from different sectors dealing with the preparation of their accounts.

Since 2010, HBS has been working with a wide range of clients providing Bookkeeping and Accountancy Services.

Essential Duties: 

• Bookkeeping
• VAT Returns
• CIS and Payroll
• Reconciliation to trial balance
• Assisting in the Preparation of Year End Accounts for Limited Companies and Sole Traders

Required Qualifications

• Applicants will only be considered if they hold AAT or ACCA qualifications
• Min 3 years experience in Practice

Skills

• Knowledge of Xero, Quickbooks, Sage One and Payroll Manager and experience within a practice environment with excellent IT Skills are essential
