Practice Development Service Manager – Adults – KR13
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 1 year fixed-term contract for a Practice Development Service Manager who will support the Principal Social Worker to deliver, develop, and influence high quality social work strengths-based practice that promotes positive outcomes for people who draw on care and support within adult services. The role also supports with the development of our Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSW) and Social Work Students, with a focus on ensuring NQSW’s and students are provided with a breadth of opportunities to develop whilst feeling supported throughout.
This is also a valuable opportunity to influence change and work closely with the Policy and Quality Assurance Team and Strategic Safeguarding Unit to embed the Quality Assurance Framework and influence changes across the organisation in relation to policy and legislation as well as learning from safeguarding adult reviews and domestic homicide reviews.
A key part of the management team, you will support with delivering Making a Difference Every day and embedding the practice framework, working effectively in partnership with others to develop effective corporate solutions to the challenges Kent County Council faces in achieving the best outcomes for the adults and families we serve.
You will be a welcome addition to the team if you are passionate about social work practice and supporting the people of Kent to live as full and safe a life as possible.
You will need to have extensive post-qualification experience of front-line social work practice and hold excellent people management skills. The successful candidate will manage a team of Practice Development Officers and Team Manager, Consultant Social Worker and Newly Qualified Social Work Supervisors.
You will have a recognised social work qualification and current registration with Social Work England as a registered Social Worker.
The position is a Countywide Role with an office base in Maidstone.
