Job description
The post holder will be responsible for facilitating education and practice development within Laurel House and the Cancer Services nursing team in the NHSCT. They will co-ordinate and deliver the training and education of nursing staff within Cancer Services and ensure that they have the appropriate skills and knowledge base to deliver quality nursing care. Collaborate with key individuals, including the Laurel House Ward Manager and the Multi-disciplinary Team to ensure that expertise exists within the Cancer Services nursing team to provide optimal standards of safe, effective and person centred care and play a key role in facilitating and supporting work based clinical learning..
Responsibilities
- Act as a role model to demonstrate professional leadership within and external to the Trust.
- Play a role in identifying education and development needs and meeting these in innovative ways and contribute to the establishment of an effective learning environment within Laurel House and the Cancer Services nursing team.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Registered on the NMC Register Part 1 Adult.
- Have completed SACT accredited training programme and currently competent.
