Academic Language Support Service – Global Engagement Pre-sessional English for Academic Purposes Tutors are required for Loughborough University online or campus-based Pre-sessional Programmes:  Salary and Programme Dates  Campus-based Pre-sessional Programme C Monday 01 July – Friday 20 September 2024 Online Pre-sessional Programme C Monday 24 June – Friday 13 September 2024 Campus-based Pre-sessional Programme D Monday 05 August – Friday 20 September 2024  Online Pre-sessional Programme D Monday 15 July – Friday 30 August 2024  Salary The position is Full Time and Fixed Term. Salary will be on Management and Specialist, Grade 6, spinal point 32, £39,347 GBP pro rata per annum. Additional Information Please note, for this position, we will not be able to offer sponsorship and therefore you must be eligible to work in the UK. All applicants for both online and campus-based programmes must be based in the UK for the duration of their contracts and complete a right to work check. Tutors must be available for the full duration of the programme. You should be a graduate with a CELTA or equivalent, ideally hold a DELTA or equivalent and / or relevant MA/MSc, have significant experience teaching English language to adult learners, have an understanding of EAP and possess excellent IT skills. Experience of teaching EAP year round or on a pre-sessional programme at a UK HEI would be an advantage. Another advantage would be experience teaching on an online course. You must be fluent in English, both written and oral, and must be able to provide effective written and oral feedback to students.  For online delivery, all tutors will be required to have appropriate technology.
