Work for a Charity as a Press and PR Officer - Permanent - Hybrid - Central London
As the Press and PR Officer, you will help to further raise the profile of the organisation and increase national media coverage. You will build good relationships with journalists and can promote positive news about organisations as well as reacting to press enquires. You will ideally have charity, health, science, or public sector experience.
Day duties
- The main purpose of the role is to develop and deliver the charity's media relations activities, inc. preparing and distributing press releases; identifying and building relationships with relevant journalists and influencers; responding to breaking news stories with timely comments and pitching features.
- The successful candidate will support the work of both the UK and International arms of the charity, working particularly closely with the Science and Policy teams. They will identify pro-active PR opportunities for research projects, communicating creatively and engagingly about their scientific research to the media, their supporters, and the public. They will also help to identify, interview and write-up impactful case-studies and personal supporter stories.

- £30,000 - £32,000 per annum, plus benefits
