Our client an international freight forwarder is now seeking an experienced Pricing Coordinator,
As a Pricing Coordinator, you will have a varied role some
Key Responsibilities:
· Receive customer quotations via varying methods - email / online portal etc
· To cover all modes of transport - Air / Sea - Imports / Exports / Cross Trade
· Negotiate rates with carriers / hauliers / suppliers and confirm availability of equipment and agree prices where no tariff exists, to maximise cost-effectiveness.
· Prepare and submit customer quotations and proposals within agreed timeframe
· Work within our in-house system to create and issue quotations
· Communicate with customers to manage and follow up all quotes to obtain feedback to measure, analyse and circulate to the relevant teams, adjusting pricing where possible to ensure we secure opportunities.
· Track success/failure rate of quotes, reporting back to management
· Develop and build relationships and provide the highest level of customer service to all automotive customers
· To produce strategic tariffs when required to ensure effective workload and to ensure these tariffs are kept up to date and relevant
· Monitor carrier websites and notifications
· Promote continuous improvement
· Any other delegated tasks deemed reasonable as assigned by the reporting manager in line with department growth.
· Engagement with airfreight / sea freight operational teams to ensure smooth handover of secured shipments
General Skills
· Industry and operational knowledge of Airfreight / Sea freight / Road freight- inbound, outbound, and cross trade
· An understanding of how to influence the profitability through effective pricing
· Preferably Dangerous Goods knowledge
· Strong numerical and commercial skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent attention to detail
· Excellent usage of computer / operating system (Microsoft Windows) along with other office applications (Microsoft Office) (Cargowise - preferable)
· Enthusiastic, flexible, and self-motivated
