Pricing Data Science - Property Lead (FTC)
The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Pricing Data Science Lead, managing the property team covering the UK, EU and International Markets. Utilising high quality Data Science lab environments including QBE's Cloud Platform, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experts in pricing, Data Science, insurance underwriting, claims, and information technology, to develop and deploy industry leading pricing and machine learning models into a $5 Billion book of business.

Your new role:
  • Build strong relationships with property underwriters working in the UK, Europe and Lloyd's markets, and the property product underwriting head
  • Be responsible for the on-going development of property pricing models used by the various property underwriting teams
  • Lead the case pricing of larger risks, and property binders
  • Fuse new Data Science techniques with traditional pricing methods to help form a market leading team of Pricing Data Science professionals
About you:
  • Expertise in both property risk and catastrophe modelling
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness and desire to learn new skills
  • Experience in pricing property business
  • Demonstrable interest in modern Data Science models and techniques
  • Python experience, or experience with other programming languages
