Are you passionate about education and supporting students in their learning journey? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dynamic team . As a HLTA, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality support to teachers and students, ensuring an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist in Classroom Management: Support teachers in maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment. Assist with behavior management, group activities, and individual student needs.
Small Group Instruction: Lead small group sessions to reinforce learning objectives, provide additional support, and challenge students.
Cover Lessons: Step in to cover lessons when required, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the teacher.
Individualised Support: Work closely with students who require additional help, adapting teaching methods to meet their unique needs.
Assessment and Progress Tracking: Assist in assessing student progress, recording observations, and providing feedback to teachers.
Resource Preparation: Prepare teaching materials, resources, and displays to enhance learning experiences.
Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive educational environment.
Requirements:
HLTA Qualification: Hold a recognized HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
Experience:Previous experience working as an HLTA or teaching assistant having previously worked with SEN children is desirable.
Passion for Education: A genuine interest in supporting students’ growth and development.
Adaptability: Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing classroom needs.
Communication Skills: Effective communication with students, staff, and parents.
Team Player: Collaborate effectively within a team and contribute to a positive school community.
