If you answered yes, then we have an amazing opportunity for you We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join a primary school in Newhaven. The school is dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for all its pupils, especially those with special educational needs. The school has a skilled and supportive staff team who work together to deliver a rich and varied curriculum. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be supporting the class teacher and other professionals to help small groups or individual pupils with their learning and development. You will enable them to access the curriculum, participate in activities, and build their confidence and independence. You will also help with the care and welfare of the pupils, and encourage their positive behaviour. To be suitable for this role, you will need to have: Previous experience as a teaching assistant A good understanding of the primary curriculum and strategies to support SEN pupils Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with pupils, staff and parents A flexible and adaptable approach to work in a dynamic environment A positive and enthusiastic attitude to learning and teaching The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, from 08:30 to 13:30. The pay rate is £68-£70 per day. The contract is temporary with the potential of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
