An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Kinloch Rannoch Primary School.

We are looking for someone to fill two roles, 15 hours as a Primary School Support Worker and 14 hours as a Primary School Support Assistant. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and energetic individual to fill the 29 hours that these two varied roles provide.

The role of Primary School Support Worker will involve supporting pupils and teachers to access and deliver high quality education. The main responsibilities of this post involve providing high quality support and learning experiences to learners with a range of needs.

The main responsibilities of the Primary School Support Assistant involve; providing a high quality, innovative administration service, supervision of learners during break and lunch times and taking responsibility for maintaining and processing financial policies and procedures.

The combination of these roles will create opportunities for the successful candidate to contribute meaningfully to our learners' experiences, impacting positively on the pupils and their families.

As these roles are set at different pay grades, there will be separate contracts in place for them both.

These posts are not suitable for sponsorship.

The Individual

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate flexibility in approaches to support the staff team and our families.

You will be hard working, well organised, flexible, caring and committed to improving the life of the school and the people who work in it.

You will work well as part of a team and also be able to take initiative and manage yourself, and your work, efficiently and effectively.

You will promote high standards and maintain positive partnerships.

Due to the nature of these roles a knowledge of different software packages, especially the Microsoft Office Suite is essential.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated team who are committed to providing an excellent education for all young people.

If you would like any more information regarding this vacancy, please contact Jacqui Sinclair, Head Teacher on 01882 632358 or at KinlochRannoch@pkc.gov.uk

When completing your application for this post, please ensure that you provide contact details (including e-mail addresses) for two referees. One should be your current or most recent employer.

Please APPLY ONLINE. Facilities are available at all public libraries in Perth and Kinross. If you have a disability and require reasonable adjustments, please call 01738 475555 to discuss.

As part of our safer recruitment measures, any offer of employment will be subject to the successful completion of mandatory checks including eligibility to work in the UK, Disclosure Scotland or PVG, qualifications, references, and fitness to undertake the post. This may also include an Overseas Criminal Records Check if you have spent time living overseas.

Perth & Kinross Council welcomes applications from former armed forces personnel/reservists. Many of the skills picked up during your military career could be transferred directly into a role with local government.
