Staffline is recruiting for a Primary Support Officer to work in Swansea.
The rate of pay is £17.59 per hour.
This is a full-time role, working fixed day shifts, the hours of work are:
- 9am to 5pm
Experience in a similar role is required.
Applicants must have a full UK Driving Licence.
Your Time at Work
As a Primary Support Officer, your duties include:
- Being a responsible officer for providing a specialised service of advice and guidance on a range of areas that impact financial Governing Bodies and headteachers of primary and special schools, to fulfill their financial responsibilities and duties as detailed in the "Scheme for the Financing of Schools," Contract Standing Orders and Financial Regulations and in fulfillment of the PSO SLA held with all schools.
- Being the responsible officer for timely and accurate reconciliations of financial information held on SIMS accounting systems and the Council's corporate accounting system in compliance with monthly, year-end, and other timetables as set by the Group Accountant Schools, and to ensure compliance with these timetables by individual schools
- Work under the line management of the Group Accountant Schools
Our Perfect Worker
Our perfect worker will be happy to:
- Use Microsoft Office products, which is a pre-requisite of the post and a high level of competence in the complex use of MS Office Excel is essential along with competence in the use of office products.
- Must demonstrate a high level of competence in terms of financial and IT skills and have an understanding of school accounting issues within the context of Local Government Finance
- Possess a working knowledge of the School Financial Management System (SIMS FMS)
- Have experience using mainstream accounting systems (preferably ORACLE) and have an understanding of how a complex financial system works
