We are looking for a passionate and experienced Reception Teacher to join our team in Scunthorpe. As a Reception Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for children aged 4-5 years old.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, identifying their strengths and areas for development and adapting your teaching accordingly
- Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and colleagues to create a positive learning experience for all children
- Encourage and support children's social and emotional development, ensuring they feel valued, respected, and included
- Foster a love of learning by providing opportunities for exploration, investigation, and play
- Maintain accurate records of each child's development and progress, sharing this information with parents and other professionals as required
- Ensure the classroom environment is safe, clean, and well-maintained, adhering to health and safety regulations and policies
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required, keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in EYFS education.
Essential Requirements:
- A relevant teaching qualification, such as a QTS or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
- Experience of teaching in a Reception class within the EYFS framework
- Excellent knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and assessment processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
