Primary Teaching Assistant

Salary: Grade 2, £22,665 per annum. (Approximately £17,850 pro rata per annum (0.78758 FTE). Please be aware this role is fixed term until July 2024.About us and the role
We are looking for an innovative and inspirational Teaching Assistant who puts the welfare and progress of children at the centre of everything they do and are able to support our students in reaching their full potential.
Avanti Fields School is an all-through, faith designated (Hindu) state school which welcomed the first intake of Year 7 students in September 2018, and first intake of Nursery and Reception students in September 2022. The school is rapidly expanding and will grow year by year to a full cohort of 1,320. This is an exciting time to join the school as it continues its journey to outstanding.

What will you do?
To work under the specific supervision, instruction and guidance of the class teacher to support the teaching and learning activities in the classroom.To provide general support to the class teacher in the organisation and management of pupils and the classroom.To assist the teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment.To promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring they have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the schoolFor a more comprehensive list of the job responsibilities, please view the full Job Description
