30 hours per week, 42 weeks per year The Prince’s Trust Programme is a 12-week personal development course aimed at young people 16 - 25 from a wide range of backgrounds with challenging and/or offending behaviour, learning disabilities (EHCPs) or difficult personal circumstances. The programme aims to re-engage young people and enable them to move back into mainstream education or better equip them for employment. Working with the Team Leader, your responsibilities will include marketing the programme and recruiting the participants, liaising with employers and agencies and supporting the Team Leader in ensuring the objectives of the programme are met. You would work with the participants to meet team and individual needs, attend the residential weeks away (if applicable - 3 per year, Monday to Friday), support community projects and set up work experience placements. You will also support young people to achieve the qualifications linked to the programme. You should have experience of working with young people, including those with challenging behaviour and/or challenging personal circumstances. You should be able to demonstrate good team building skills, be able to motivate others and have good written and verbal communication skills. Enthusiasm for working with young people to help them achieve their full potential is a key requirement of the post, together with good planning and organising skills.
