Principal Engineer - Engineering Assurance

Job Title: Principal Engineer - Engineering AssuranceLocation: Barrow-In-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.Salary: Circa £45,000 What you'll be doing:

Providing assurance to the Engineering Authority that Engineering designs meet legislation, requirements and are safe. As well as providing process confirmation. The scope of Engineering Product Assurance Department (EPAD) covers all aspects of Submarine Programmes as well as site infrastructure projectsProviding independent Level 3 assurance of the certification & qualification of products as required through the products lifecycle aligned with the requirements of Submarines Product Assurance FrameworkProviding support to design reviews, audits, investigations, and route cause analysisSupporting the Independent Level 3 Assurance team through assessment of project documentation and attendance at design reviewsConducting and supporting audits of key processes within design and build of submarine and infrastructure projectsProvide input to investigations to drive root cause analysis and corrective actionsCollate information for hold points, allowing activities to progress

Your skills and experiences: Essential:

Experience in an Engineering discipline - Assurance, Quality, Mechanical, Electrical, Design, Commissioning, Operation, or Maintenance of Submarine or Nuclear SystemsKnowledge and understanding of Life Cycle Management for Submarine and Nuclear based projectsWorking knowledge of standard Microsoft office software packages

Desirable:

Degree qualified Engineer working toward Chartered Status
